"It is the duty of the deacons to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress. It is their duty also to develop the grace of liberality in the members of the church, to devise effective methods of collecting the gifts of the people, and to distribute these gifts among the objects to which they are contributed. They shall have the care of the property of the congregation, both real and personal, and shall keep in proper repair the church edifice and other buildings belonging to the congregation. " – Book of Church Order, section 9-2.

To the office of deacon, which is spiritual in nature, shall be chosen men of spiritual character, honest repute, exemplary lives, brotherly spirit, warm sympathies, and sound judgment.

Bryan Clark

Bryan Clark joined the GRPC staff October 2001 he serves as Facilities Manager and middle school Bible teacher at Glasgow Christian Academy. Bryan graduated from Philadelphia College of Bible (Philadelphia Biblical University) in 1981. Bryan has taken part in two short term mission trip to London England working among the South Asian church plants. Also he is part of the MARK INC First Responders team which ministers to first responders. Bryan and his wife Donna have been married for twenty-four year. They have one daughter (Rebecca) who is employed by the State of Delaware as a social worker. Bryan also is an ordained deacon.
 
 
Chuck Leary

Chuck Leary has attended GRPC for 20 years, and became a deacon in January, 2006. He works for the Department of Transportation as Northern Regional Manager. He and his wife Missy have been married for over 20 years and they have four children. Chuck loves sports, coaches one of our men's softball teams, and in particular loves to cook.

Art Trout

Art Trout is a former Firefighter and Paramedic that currently is employed by New Castle County in Code Enforcement and Customer Relations. Art is enrolled in Grand Canyon University working on his BA in Christian Studies; Pastoral Care and intends to go into full time ministry when he retires from the county. He is a member of the MARK INC First Responder Ministry Team utilizing his 27 years of experience reaching out to First Responders throughout the country. Art and his wife Karen have been married 24 years and have six children.
 
 
Scott Winchester
Positions: Diaconate Treasurer / Church Business Manager
Specialty: Financial Counseling
House Churches: Nautical Cove / Thomas Cove / Worden


Scott Winchester serves as Business Manager and brings 10 years of accounting experience to GRPC. He graduated from Goldey Beacom College with a B.S. degree in Finance Management and also holds an A.A.S. degree from Delaware Tech in Marketing/Management. He currently attends Reformed Theological Seminary in the pursuit of a M.A.R. degree. He and his wife June has two daughters.
 
 
Inactive Deacons
Inactive deacons are still ordained officers, however they are not currently serving their term for various reasons. Inactive officers must be voted into office again by the congregation.
