If you're planning on visiting GRPC take a few moments to look at the following information. It'll give you the information you'll need to get around and feel most comfortable. We would be delighted to have you as a guest and we hope it'll be the first of many stays with us! Where to Go: When you enter the parking lot you'll be directed by our parking lot attendants to the areas designated for which service you plan to attend. If you are a first-time visitor, please let the attendants know, and they will direct you to some spots reserved up front. When you enter the main doors you will be in the narthex, and the sanctuary will be right in front of you. We have several seating options including floor seating, balcony seating, and a closed circuit television room (for training the young ones, AKA "The Bawl Room") on the second floor. If you're feeling a little overwhelmed or confused just look for one of our ushers and they will help you find a seat, as well as give you a packet of information about our church. Please be sure to fill out the visitor's form so we have a record of your visit! If the ushers or hostesses miss you, we will ask for a show of hands from fist time visitors before the service begins. This is not to embarrass you! We merely wish to make sure you get the packet of information that tells you about our church. What to Expect: Every Sunday morning is unique and special, but there are a few things that always hold true. We have two services which are identical. Our worship style is contemporary with a traditional mix. We often do contemporary versions of old hymnal favorites. Our worship team generally features piano, keyboard, organ, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, various percussion (like bongos and timpani), violin, flute, and even Irish whistle! We believe in true worship where we can come before God and praise him. The preaching ministry is a focal point at GRPC. Many sermons tackle tough contemporary topics with a focus on what the Word of God says about them. We take a firm stance on God's word and hope this helps you face the circumstances of your life and gets you ready for the next week. What to Wear: We don't have an official dress code here at GRPC, but we'd like to give you an idea of what to expect on any given Sunday. Some people enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with business casual type dress. However, you'll see people at all ends of the spectrum from a suit and tie to jeans and a t-shirt. We want you to focus on the important aspects of worship and not worry about what you're wearing. However, to that end, we do ask that you dress modestly and in a manner that does not distract others from worshiping God. As the popular worship song says, "come, just as you are to worship". How to Join: Several times a year we offer our Inquirer's Class where we go over what we believe as a part of the Reformed doctrine under the authority of the Presbytery. Attending this class does not mean you must join, but it is a prerequisite for membership. Baptism is also a prerequisite for joining as it is seen as a sign of faith in the promises of the Covenant of Grace. If you haven't already been baptized that can be done at GRPC as well. If you are already a member of another church in good standing you will likely be able to transfer your membership to GRPC. More Information: If you'd like more information about our service times or sunday school go to the worship section. If you'd like to get directions or find out more about who we are, what we believe, or our vision for the church go to the about us section. If you have a broadband Internet connection, check out the our video section to see a video that tells you more about us. If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to contact the webmaster. |
