Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. — 1 Timothy 4:12

During the time in a child's life that they begin the process of becoming young men and women there are many challenges that must be faced. Junior and senior high can be some of the most stressful times for both the child and the parent. In an effort to create an safe environment for children to come learn how to deal with the many difficulties on the road to adulthood, a youth group group was formed known as REACH.

REACH stands for Resisting Evil And Changing Hearts and aims to help young men and women do just that. Meetings happen on Friday nights for the junior and senior high groups.

Throughout the year many big events are planned. The main focus of these events is to have a good time with fellow Christians and attract other junior and senior highers from the surrounding communities. These events range from backyard BBQs to road rallies to renting out the local University's sporting complex to road rallies and more.

Mission trips and community service events are held regularly to give opportunities for the youth group to give back to the church, the community, and God. Sunday school and bible studies are also available most of the year to give a more in-depth study of certain topics that affect all youth.

Our focus is on outreach, growth in a personal walk with Jesus Christ, and the teaching of Scripture in a fun and relevant way. Our events are cutting edge and appealing to most students. We use elements in pop-culture as a window to the truth of the Bible. The youth ministry uses multi-media, modern music, and a small group format to accommodate growth in a large group atmosphere.

In addition to Friday night youth group, on Wednesday night, commonly referred to as Family Night, there is a group for boys grades 7th and up known as Boys Batallion. Much like Boy Scouts, boys earn badges and work on building strong character traits as they grow into manhood.
